RomanNums

About RomanNums

RomanNums converts numbers and dates to Roman numerals — and back — using only the standard written form: subtractive pairs IV, IX, XL, XC, CD and CM, no letter repeated more than three times, range 1 to 3999.

That strictness is the point of the site. Roman numerals end up in places where a mistake is expensive: a tattoo, an engraved ring, a printed invitation, a cornerstone. A converter that quietly accepts IIII or invents a value for VX is worse than no converter at all, so ours refuses non-standard input, shows the exact character where a numeral breaks, and suggests the correct form.

Everything runs locally in your browser. Dates you convert — birthdays, wedding dates — are often personal, and there is no reason for them to leave your device, so they don't: no accounts, no uploads, no storage.

RomanNums is part of a small family of free single-purpose tools built by Jimmy | ORBITFRAME — the sister sites are linked in the footer of every page. A Pro tier ($9/mo) is planned with batch conversion and printable chart packs; it is a preview only, and nothing is charged today.
